- Nose
- Light mashy notes mixed with burning leaves and spices before a chunky malt loaf and fruit leather weight comes through. Cherry cola and oak with water.
- Palate
- Nutty start then a glide of toffee across the mid-palate. Some dark fruit (plum) and then the spices kick in wth a little touch of smoke.
- Finish
- Dry and nutty.
- Comment
- It's Ballantine's as you've seen it before but the “Christmas” angle is well
worked. Great blending.

- Nose
- Nutty, fragrant. Fresh oak. A earthy touch which mingles with sweet cereal notes.
- Palate
- Smooth and well structured. Malty sweetness with a definite green oak
note but nothing unpleasant.
- Finish
- Short, dry with a nutty character.
- Comment
- Tastes rather young but a pleasant and easy to drink dram. Just a little weak at midpalate.
