Nose
Sweet. Oak. Hint of sulphur. Palate
Sweetish. Vanilla. Lemony. Some maltiness. Somewhat woody. Finish
Slightly sappy. Smoke. Bergamot. Hint of spice. Comment
It would take a particularly good parcel of this malt to mature for 21 years.
Dave Broom
Nose
Light gold. An amazing nose, like walking into a branch of Body Shop-all passion fruit, overripe mango, ripe banana, cocoa butter and vanilla. Palate
As you'd expect, the ripe fruity theme continues in the mouth with a glint of sweet sherry-accented fruit mid-palate. Finish
Dry to start then softens leaving traces of raisin and soft tropical fruit. Comment
A slightly bizarre malt.
