Nose
Sweet and intense with a fruity twinkle. Porridge, fresh hazelnuts. Marshmallow. Rum influence peeps through the creamy fruitiness. Palate
Quite crisp though with a syrupy texture. Less mellow than expected. A spicy explosion at mid palate with a slight bitter edge. Finish
Spicy, slightly dusty. Nutty aftertaste. Comment
A cheery dram, opening up on the sunny side with the definite rum colours on the nose. A dash of water sweetens the palate.
Dave Broom
Nose
Sweet banana jam, guava juice, floral with a light cereal maltiness. Plenty of vanilla. Palate
Smooth with bags of vanilla soft fruits and a lightly floral touch. Lots of character and good balance between the two elements. Finish
Medium length. Touch of deeper rum notes. Comment
Works pretty well. Rum in a supporting role, putting a different spin on the whisky.
