- Nose
- Intense. Old parmigiano. Medlars. Then becoming creamier, molasses toffee with a hint of burnt coffee. A touch of sultanas.
- Palate
- Sweet, velvety. Sticky toffee pudding. Smoky (burnt wood and dry ashes). Getting quite peppery.
- Finish
- Warm, dry, rather long. Tabasco. A minty touch.
- Comment
- Quite a nice dram but a bit edgy.

- Nose
- Raffia/weetabix to start then dry wood smoke/charred sticks. With water a cooked vegetable note and old trainers.
- Palate
- Sweet oak when neat. Lightly nutty with a hint of smoke. Water maintains the balance.
- Finish
- Long and lightly smoky.
- Comment
- Well balanced. Though peaty it doesn't have the marine phenolics usually encountered on the coast.
