- Nose
- Whiff of damp hay and wheat chaff. Lightly charred oak and a little earthy,
with some sweet malt.
- Palate
- Slow to start with a numb, slightly pent-up feel. Woodsmoke is present,
fruit-soaked cheesecake base, tobacco, strawberry jam.
- Finish
- Spices galore.
- Comment
- Pleasant, but the burnt wood knocks it back.

- Nose
- Creamy with toffee and vanilla, gooseberries and ripe green melon.
- Palate
- After the pussycat nose this growls a bit, with sharp apple and some fierce
mustiness, like someone's stirred up a muddy pool.
- Finish
- Medium and complex.
- Comment
- I'm bemused and confused by this. It's like listening to the Red Hot Chili
Peppers. Too much going on to really be enjoyable.
