83- Nose
- That bamboo/hessian alongside wet linen (Mr Darcy emerging from the lake?) then comes exotic fruits,green melon,rhubarb,oils. Supple and long.
- Palate
- Big and substantial with smoke kicking in around half-way through, then heavy apple juice sweet/sour mix. Chewy and textured.
- Finish
- Long and elegant.
- Comment
- Great balance. When Madeira works it really works!

- A dry almost herbal quality. But there is fruit in here too. The smoke has almost gone into hiding.
- Palate
- Sweet at first then the smoke reveals itself and nails its colours to the mast. Very bold and entertaining.
- Finish
- A decent length with great complexity.
- Comment
- If only there was some summer left,this would be the perfect afternoon libation.
