Nose
Fat and full, the sherry influence is subtle yet quite enveloping. Just a hint of peat reek on the breeze.
Palate
An immediate oak impact is softened by the clearly defined malt.
Finish
Remains oaky with the sherry re-emering to soften things and give a fruity edge.
Comment
Really well structured; a gentle dram that was finished with the use of the oldest casks in Speyside. A very elegant whisky with which to mark bith the centenary and the re-opening of this fine dram.
