73- Nose
- Perfumy.Liquorice,white pepper. On time,luscious sweet notes swirl up. Vanilla,pear drop. Quite complex and finely laced.
- Palate
- Silky.But firm.The palate is not as enticing as the nose. A pleasant fruitiness at start then a bitter oaky flavour.
- Finish
- Medium,slightly spiced.
- Comment
- The nose was promising but the palate did not deliver all. Water stresses the bitterness.

- Oil and peat,deep and resinous,dying embers,nutty,lemon detergent.
- Palate
- Soft and easy at first,then some spice and fruit push through.Grapey.
- Finish
- A small explosion of flavour,with a long pepper and peat tail.
- Comment
- The sweetness of the Madeira works quite well with the earthier notes of the malt.
