Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson Nose Sugared almonds. Fudge. Chocolates in a box. Palate Honeyed dryness. Dark liquid honey. Flavours gradually emerging. Restrained citrus, Orange, then lemon. Finish Mixed spices. Slight ginger. Comment Lots of flavour but restrained and well balanced. Very confident. If there is a Speyside style, surely this is it.

Ian Wisniewski Nose Spicy, fruity overture, then caramel sauce and fruit syrup, with fudge and butterscotch. Palate Smooth, mellow, subtle baked apples with spicy gingerbread, citrus, pear drops, some underlying dry oakyness and clove. Finish Subtle poached fruit sweetness and dry, spicy oak. Comment Fruit-driven with spice and oak extending the spectrum and adding gravitas.
