- Nose
- Ripe apples, treacle, leaf mulch, shifting slightly into linseed along with a flick of a leather. Water brings out a whiff of turps and dusty spices.
- Palate
- Real concentration, then napthalene. The leather comes back...as do tannins.
- Finish
- Dries significantly and reveals smoke.
- Comment
- This is a big mean mother whose youthful charms have been lashed into submission by oak.

- Nose
- Refresher sweeties, lavender and demerara rum. Leafy, floral and something slightly silagey.
- Palate
- Floral, with a bourbon-like character with lots of vanilla oak and some piney sap.
- Finish
- Demerara, rum-like sweetness.
- Comment
- Very pleasant aged whisky.
