Tasting Notes

Dave Broom Nose Ripe apples, treacle, leaf mulch, shifting slightly into linseed along with a flick of a leather. Water brings out a whiff of turps and dusty spices. Palate Real concentration, then napthalene. The leather comes back...as do tannins. Finish Dries significantly and reveals smoke. Comment This is a big mean mother whose youthful charms have been lashed into submission by oak.

Arthur Motley Nose Refresher sweeties, lavender and Demerara rum. Leafy, floral and something slightly silagey. Palate Floral, with a bourbon-like character with lots of vanilla oak and some piney sap. Finish Demerara, rum-like sweetness. Comment Very pleasant aged whisky.
