Nose
Perfumy. Light and delicate. Floral. Sweet peas, wild rose. Opens on slightly sour fruit. The sour edge is swept out by vanilla and custard. Palate
Drier than expected. Very lively and refreshing. Cooked apples and pears. Almond and apricot pudding. Quite fizzy. Waters soothes the feel down. Finish
Steady, dry, quite lingering. Comment
Kicking up your heels as well as soothing. To be sipped far from the city buzz.
Dave Broom
Nose
Light, slightly volatile estery and youthful. Dilute lemon and ginger cordial. With water there’s dried banana chips and some fragrant floral aromas. Palate
Clean lifted and perfumed. Elderflower. Quite lacy and fragile. Finish
Vanilla and then the ginger returns. Comment
A lovely very summery aperitif.
