Nose
Grassy. Freshly cut grass including a bunch of garden mint. Turf. Malt flour. Alcohol tickles. A hint of smoke. Palate
Sweet maltiness. Hay loft. Wild chervil. A spicy burst at mid-palate. Finish
Dry, very spicy. Chili. Comment
A sunny malt. Quite sharp and spirity but a pleasant aromatic freshness. Could be a thirst quenching for some. Water does not cut all edges.
Dave Broom
Nose
Neat there’s apple skin, some earthy smokiness and a slightly musty wood. Hay. Water brings out peat which grows in intensity. Pretty tense. Palate
Highly aromatic and zesty with apple blossom then the smoke begins to drift through. Shows very good balance when water is added. Cayenne. Appetising. Just entering maturity. Finish
Lightly nutty. Comment
Drink over ice.
