Nose
Malty and nutty. Oak is well integrated. Cooked plums, marzipan. Apples drying in the attic. Mustiness and earth. Oak comes back. Palate
Smooth and crisp too. Oak is more prominent but flavours are nicely intertwined. A touch of milk chocolate. Finish
Dry, with a refreshing sour/bitter touch. Comment
Very elegant and balanced on the nose. Oak tends to show off but the dram keeps its charm though.
Dave Broom
Nose
Dried lemon peel. Fresh and floral, daffodil/iris and touches of dry malt. Shifts into tisane, straw and apple. Palate
Very soft with good flow. This has more of a juicy guava like softness. Silky and almost wine like. Well integrated oak which adds a lightly spiced element. Finish
White pepper. Comment
Charming and well balanced.
