Nose
Seems young. Slightly stony, shifting to nuttiness and a touch of kiln-like smoke. Plain and pretty hard. Palate
As the nose suggests, penetrating alcohol and a lean flinty quality. Water is needed to bring out balancing sweetness. Direct and ultimately pretty hard. Finish
Fades quickly. Comment
Tight and hard to love.
Arthur Motley
Nose
Chopped, mixed nuts and a buttery pastry. Amaretto biscuits, honeydew melon and Granny Smith apples. Lemon meringue pie. Palate
A sweet syrupy texture with vanilla, melons and lemon rind. Victoria Sponge. Finish
Minerally and lightly earthy. Comment
A bright, sparkling nose and slightly less exciting on the palate but still good.
