Dave Broom
Nose
Deeply sherried. Like being plunged into a deep, dank, autumn wood. Liquorice and cold Darjeeling tea coupled with wet wool/leather. More sulphur with water. Funky and mature.
Palate
Rich and not as tannic as the nose suggests. Nutty, rich and mellow. Good depth.
Finish
Treacle toffee.
Comment
A big powerful bruiser.

Nose
Fruit cake mix with cherries, ginger, prune syrup, tangerine and treacle toffee. Coffee and demerara sugar.
Palate
Gingerbread, smoked venison, prunes in Armagnac. Nice, broad mouth-coating texture on the tongue.
Finish
Traces of burnt, pork crackling.
Comment
Cracking whisky led by an intense relationship with its sherry cask.
