- Nose
- Deeply sherried. Like being plunged into a deep, dank, autumn wood. Liquorice and cold Darjeeling tea coupled with wet wool/leather. More sulphur with water. Funky and mature.
- Palate
- Rich and not as tannic as the nose suggests. Nutty, rich and mellow. Good depth.
- Finish
- Treacle toffee.
- Comment
- A big powerful bruiser.

- Nose
- Fruit cake mix with cherries, ginger, prune syrup, tangerine and treacle toffee. Coffee and demerara sugar.
- Palate
- Gingerbread, smoked venison, prunes in Armagnac. Nice, broad mouth-coating texture on the tongue.
- Finish
- Traces of burnt, pork crackling.
- Comment
- Cracking whisky led by an intense relationship with its sherry cask.
