Nose
Quite deep and hairy with a slightly charred, meaty edge. Into the earth again, this time with a sulphur edge. Medlar-like fruit with water. Palate
Big, robust and mouthfilling. Long and quite deep with rooty, almost smoky notes. Finish
Meaty again. Comment
Agood example of a little seen distillery.

Nose
Grassy. Cereal. Muesli. Dry hay. A slight sour note in the back. Fermenting pears. Palate
Round, mouthcoating. Delightful feel. Rich fruity and oaky combination. Sweet. Plum and date chutney. Spicy (ginger). Finish
Lingering, sweet and elegant. Comment
An excellent whisky which has reached its peak. More time in oak and it would lose its charm.
