- Nose
- Phenolic. Creosote. Smoky. Obviously coastly. Not much behind the smoke. A distant touch of vanilla maybe.
- Palate
- Sweet. Malty. Cereal bowl. Gets drier and smokier.
- Finish
- Smoky,dry,sooty
- Comment
- Judging by the colour (pale chardonnay),has obviously not gained from the cask. Has got all the phenolic spectrum but not much more, especially on the nose.

- Nose
- Extra virgin olive oil, with underlying tar and embers, then honey and vanilla.
- Palate
- Toastyness overlain by a wave of creamy vanilla, honey and malty notes, with underlying dryness, then
chocolate eclair, lemon tart and lemon zest emerge.
- Finish
- Oakey smokeyness,lemon tart,then oak dryness.
- Comment
- Lemon notes add variety and illuminate the
accompanying characteristics.
