Nose
Peaty! Slightlly flinty to begin with then comes smoked meats,Polish smoked sausage with a sweet touch of honeydew melon.
Palate
A slight pause and then a mix of sweet tropical fruits backed by creosote like smoke. Oily yet fresh with a subtle depth. Great power, even better balance.Exemplary
Finish
Hint of soot.
Comment
This is top notch stuff. One of the best Port Ellen's for some while. Snap it up.

Nose
Smoky and briny. Burning seaweeds. Dry ashes. A sweet whiff of vanilla. Lemon sherbet. Garden mint.
Palate
Smooth with a lovely satin-like feel. Smoke and sweet maltiness combine with a minty touch. Refreshing and straightforward.
Finish
Dry, slightly sooty. A sweet spearmint comes back.
Comment
A very pleasant Islander. Well balanced and thirst-quenching.
