- Nose
- Intense. Varnish. Exotic wood. Vetiver. A sour fruit note which evokes a rye whiskey. Then vanilla creeps in and heads the way. Sweet and luscious.
- Palate
- Rich, deep. The same sour fruit note wrapped in creamy vanilla custard. Oak is more present than on the nose.
- Finish
- Dry, spicy. Ginger and white pepper. Blancmange in the back.
- Comment
- The balance between sweet and sour is perfect. A grain whisky? I would have thought of an old bourbon.

- Nose
- Dry and dusty. A sweet oakiness is here balanced with a little bitter dark chocolate.
- Palate
- Plenty going on, tangy orange with brown sugar. Hints of vanilla cream and stewed fruits.
- Finish
- Dry and sweet.
- Comment
- A cracking grain whisky.
