- Nose
- Scented. Very waxy: scented candle, incense and then pure (jellied) fruits
and peach/apricot and some hot apple crumble. Complex and charming.
- Palate
- Obviously old, there's cinnamon and a dusty rose, some strawberry and light, balancing tannins. There's a clean peppermint character which adds freshness.
- Finish
- Dries a little.
- Comment
- Long and serious.
- Nose
- Stewed fruit compote dusted with cinnamon. Clotted cream and honey.
There is also a hint of patchouli.
- Palate
- Hits you in waves of spice, malt and then sherry soaked fruit pudding. There is a touch of mint dark chocolate, almost spearmint.
- Finish
- Long with that chocolate note.
- Comment
- Great blending, and should set the benchmark for premium older blends.
