- Very woody. Leathery.
- Palate
- Slight toffee. Malty. Oily. Touches of mint, spiciness and hay. Quickly moving to woodiness.
- Finish
- Earthy, peaty, woody, drying.
- Comment
- Those flavours in mid-palate afford a glimpse of a delicious malt but the wood is very dominating.

- Dried fruit, earth, smoke. Water brings out rubber and pipe tobacco (a rough shag this one).
- Palate
- Sweet and savoury at the same time with real charred tones all the way through.
- Finish
- Starts crisp, then comes dried fruit, then those charred/singed fruits and finally earth and smoke.
- Comment
- Huge! A machiatto to the Glen Grant espresso.
