Nose
Very woody. Leathery. Palate
Slight toffee. Malty. Oily. Touches of mint, spiciness and hay. Quickly moving to woodiness. Finish
Earthy, peaty, woody, drying. Comment
Those flavours in mid-palate afford a glimpse of a delicious malt but the wood is very dominating.
Dave Broom
Nose
Dried fruit, earth, smoke. Water brings out rubber and pipe tobacco (a rough shag this one). Palate
Sweet and savoury at the same time with real charred tones all the way through. Finish
Starts crisp, then comes dried fruit, then those charred/singed fruits and finally earth and smoke. Comment
Huge! A machiatto to the Glen Grant espresso.
