Nose
Straight-ahead fragrant peat smoke.
Palate
Oily. Good Bowmore character: reedy, smoky, sandy, salty.
Finish
Appetising. Long, late, peppery dryness.
Comment
All the elements of Bowmore, and plenty of alcohol, but extra dimension.

Dave Broom

Nose
Slightly lean with touches of vanilla, shaved wood, butter and green plum.
Palate
Clean and sprightly, sugary: orange marmalade with smoke from about half way in. Round and gentle.
Finish
Light smoke.
Comment
A solid Bowmore that’s lighter than the distillery bottlings.
