- Scented and musky with dried flower mint and marzipan with a smear of varnish. Water brings out baked apple and dried fruit.Rich and mellow.
- Palate
- Direct,showing some age. A hint of soap at the front but not unpleasantly so. Richly fruited but refreshing.Dry leaves and slightly grippy.
- Finish
- Dry, bosky
- Comment
- Best neat. Slightly firm but well worth a look.

- Deep. Big. The sherry influence is temperate and enhances beautifully the oaky notes. Elegant,luscious. Dried apricot,candied orange. Cloves.
- Palate
- The same luscious sensation. Round, caressing.Exotic fruit. Passion fruit and mango. Develops on spices.
- Finish
- Spicy,pepper dust. A touch of burnt wood. Nutty aftertaste.
- Comment
- What an intriguing dram ! The best of sherry in a complex and refined expression. Gets close to an old cognac. No water,please.
