- Nose
- Lots of Dundee (thick-cut) marmalade mixed with gold syrup, coconut and
wood shavings. Water takes it into nougat territory along with a little
treacle, apple and malt loaf.
- Palate
- As nose, with some peach, jasmine to start before it deepens into lilac, nut
and raisin.
- Finish
- Spicy and clean.
- Comment
- Good, just lacking the extra layers which produce complexity.

- Nose
- Chinese takeaway wrapper. Stewed vegetables. With time cocoa and
biscuit notes.
- Palate
- Definitely up a notch or two from the nose. Tinned fruits in syrup. Sweet
and full with soft pear and a dusting of spice.
- Finish
- Quite long and definitely pleasant. A whisky which grows as it goes.
- Comment
- Not spectacular but a solid and enjoyable malt and a pleasant
ambassador for a distillery which rarely gets the limelight.
