- Nose
- Fragrant, oak and malt, very delicate wood smoke.
- Palate
- Some oiliness, orange juice, again delicate smoke, suggestion of peat.
- Finish
- Dry, slightly acrid, smoke from cheroots.
- Comment
- Doesn't leap out of the glass at you, but well balanced and unthreatening.

- Nose
- Initially malty, becoming rounded and buttery with water. There's olde English marmalade, delicate woodsmoke wood shavings, log, cigar ash.
- Palate
- Lightly perfumed and quite sweet. Orange peel, stewed apricot, tinned prune and aromatic smoke. Long and smooth.
- Finish
- Dry, ash-like.
- Comment
- A good introductory malt.
