Tasting Notes

Gavin Smith Nose Quite heavy sweet notes-dates and figs-initially, before malt and faint smoke is detected. Palate Thick mouthfeel, red grapes, more complex soft fruits and smoke develop with water. Finish Gentle, some peat, balanced by sweeter malt notes, but plums linger too insistently. Comment Complex and curious!

Dave Broom Nose Firm, concentrated start. Floor wax, cigar smoke. Then a strange artificial perfume: attar of roses, orange blossom water, lavender. Palate The essency, gin like, notes continue. Then smoke and a nice hit of red fruits. Finish Soft, light smoke. Comment Just plain weird. Don't know whether to dab it behind my ears or drink it.
