Martine Nouet
Nose
Tickling. Fresh. Straightforward. First, wet seaweeds and herbs steaming on a bonfire, then a touch of smoked meat and back to burning grass. Followed by lingering creosote.
Palate
Sweet maltiness at first, then a fizzy feel and a huge invasion of smoke and seaweeds. Drying off on a more “tactile” smoke.
Finish
Dry, grassy, sooty.
Comment
Peat plays the major part in the aromatic display, with an assertive sea influence.

Nose
Young and vibrant. Sweet. Wood sugars. Light bran, hint of heathery smoke, marine/beach like. Very pure with a touch of dried herbs, soft fruit, burning turf.
Palate
Clean, if slightly aggressive. Malt, oak and peat. Dolly mixtures. Smoke builds near the finish.
Finish
The peat is here, damp seaweed, heather.
Comment
This is young and everything seems locked in.
