Fresh but spirity. Needs to settle down. When the alcohol bite disappears,a
medicinal note is followed by a juicy pineapple aroma. All wrapped in tar.
Touch of grapefruit.
Palate
Oily. Sweet at first then a spicy outburst wipes the sweet notes. Licorice freshens up the palate.
Finish
Long,spicy,with a hint of tar.
Comment
A big boy. But if you give it time, you'll tame it. The fruity notes display is really scrumptious.
A big waft of butterscotch, giving way to warming oil and tar, axle grease. The whisky equivalent to the Weeting Steam Festival.
Palate
Yowza .A big dollop of stewed pear and then the most delightful mix of smoke and spice, blackcurrant cordial.
Finish
More of the same. Long and sweet, with rich stewed fruits and smoke.
Comment
Another wonder from a wonderful and much missed distillery.
