Nose
Very aromatic. Quite heavy. Unusually peaty. A touch of sulphur.
Palate
Creamy. Passion fruit. Iron. Then sandy and salty.
Finish
Crescendo of spicy flavours, especially cayenne pepper.
Comment
The whisky for a Baltimore crab feast. Why not a Bruichladdich crab feast, come to that?

Nose
Elegant, complex and layered: pot pourri, dried peel, cashew, lightly caramelised fruits, praline, pistachio, vanilla, clootie dumpling.
Palate
Builds very very slowly in the mouth. Fresh, and though seems delicate has a mellow weight. Complex.
Finish
Long, softens.
Comment
Superb balance and complexity. A belter.
