Michael Jackson
Nose
Fresh, clean. Distinctly flowery. Slightly oily.
Palate
Starts with a light, clean, taste of barley-malt. Then grassy sweetness. Becomes peppery in a series of small eruptions. Very lively. Very long.
Finish
Characteristic salt and iron emerging.
Comment
More rounded and restrained than I remember, but lots of flavour development in that long middle. Bring on the Islay oysters.

Nose
Fresh. Ozone and oak. Lifted aromas: sea thrift, lemon, malt/tablet, cinnamon bun, peaches in cream. A lovely nutty seaside (beech nuts?) air: brine, hot shells.
Palate
Fresh and bracing with mellow fruit (mango/orange) in yoghurt, lemon, almond and then the sea.
Finish
Long, warm, soft.
Comment
This has an extra maritime edge and is disgracefully (dangerously) drinkable.
