Nose
More lifted than the last one with dried lemon peel, dried mint, lavender and chocolate. Oak and orange blossom. Palate
A let down on the palate. Flour sacks and some fragrance overwhelmed by a bitter oaky edge (accentuated by water). While it has energy and sweetness the tannins bite deep and bite hard. Finish
Bitter. Comment
The wood is simply too aggressive for the spirit.

Nose
Very fruity and perfumy. Vetiver. Apricot and almond tart. An appetising sourness. Kumquat, pink grapefruit. Layered. Becomes creamier. Hint of pecan pie. Palate
Like in the previous sample, wood overwhelms fruit at start. Green tea. Cigar box, blackcurrant jelly. Finish
Rich, lingering, fruity. Comment
A better balance than the preceding one. A beautiful after dinner dram.
