Nose
Seems to have more rye lift giving a dustier edge. Mint and coconut. Rose petals and plum jam. In the hickory smoked camp. Palate
More straight down the line than the last one. Seems to have age, wet leather, canvas, coriander powder. The maraschino note is there again, fennel. Finish
Surprisingly fruity and jammy. Comment
A finer structured example but the Zinfandel element seems a little bolted on.
Dominic Roskrow
Nose
Perfumey, with vanilla, honey and beeswax traces. Palate
Sharp and dry, with oak dominant. Finish
Vacuum-like dryness sucks the cheeks. Comment
Get past the dryness and this one’s a grower.
