- Nose
- Intense. A bit sharp. Sour fruit. Blackcurrant.Black pepper.
- Palate
- Rich, deep. Warm blackcurrant pie without the custard. Damp musty flavour.A lot to swallow !
- Finish
- Hot slightly burning. Spicy and framed by oak.
- Comment
- A broad shouldered whisky. Not for the fainted-hearts.Some like it hot.

- Nose
- Needs water to open it but when you do it bursts out at you. Big fruits, saddlewood and musk, like a powerful and masculine.
- Palate
- Powerful fruity notes hold their own against powerful tannins, big sweet vanilla notes pit themselves against spicy rye.
- Finish
- Long,warm,woody and wonderful.
- Comment
- Sazerac has been monopolising the rye end of the American whiskey market. If rye really makes a comeback, this is its John The Baptist.
