- Nose
- Vanilla ice cream, milk bottle chews, sultana bran, dried coconut. With time grassiness, and a farmyard whiff.
- Palate
- Mouth filling and malty, with a shake of spice.
- Finish
- Woody, drying and with complex bitterness of quality dark chocolate.
- Comment
- A bold spirit, tempered by well-timed maturation. A little flat to be truly great.

- Traces of caramel and fudge at first, with developing oily (metal polish?) notes.
- Palate
- Lightly oily. Digestive biscuits. Toffees and toffee apples. Mint.
- Finish
- A warming, and curiously more-ish finish.
- Comment
- Not a big whisky, but comforting.
