Tasting Notes

Arthur Motley

Nose
Vanilla ice cream, milk bottle chews, sultana bran, dried coconut. With time grassiness, and a farmyard whiff.
Palate
Mouth filling and malty, with a shake of spice.
Finish
Woody, drying and with complex bitterness of quality dark chocolate.
Comment
A bold spirit, tempered by well-timed maturation. A little flat to be truly great.

Owen Barstow

Nose
Traces of caramel and fudge at first, with developing oily (metal polish?) notes.
Palate
Lightly oily. Digestive biscuits. Toffees and toffee apples. Mint.
Finish
A warming, and curiously more-ish finish.
Comment
Not a big whisky, but comforting.
