- Nose
- Phenolic. Creosote. Dying bonfire. In the back a sweet core. Vanilla biscuit, oatcake and pear nectar.
- Palate
- Sweet and caressing. The alcohol is beautifully mastered. Refreshing grassy notes. Mint and lemon. The smokiness is aerial and fades away without drying the palate.
- Finish
- Sweet and fresh.
- Comment
- An appetising islander. On the sweet side. Bring the langoustines and the scallops.

- Nose
- The peat is quite up front, coal buckets and an old wood fire. There is sweetness too here, syrup waffles and soft fruits.
- Palate
- Very lush and dense. Plenty of sweetness and clingy oak. Citrus notes come through the gentle smoke.
- Finish
- Again lush.
- Comment
- A well balanced whisky and certainly one for the outdoors.
