Bushmills Irish Honey

Irish Honey
Whisky Liqueurs & Infusions ~ Liqueur
Produced at
Old Bushmills Distillery

Annabel Meikle

Flint and seashells and lichen on wet rocks. Crushed herbal notes, tulips and hyacinth. A honeyed hot toddy.
Tinned pear, tangerine and lychees in syrup, with a hint of clove.
Syrup sweet, a little cloying for my taste.
There was too much of the confectionary sweetness for my taste, but I can see that you would like this as an alternative to a liqueur.

Chris Goodrum

A deep but relatively straightforward nose of soft banana, apricot, honey and creamy oak.
A little flabby and oily with sweet, set honey, banana and apricot. It becomes exceedingly sweet toward the middle. Again a pleasant depth but somewhat simple.
Reasonable length with maybe a touch of sweet spice emerging.
For me there is not quite enough alcohol to balance the sweetness.
