- Distinct rose-like aroma of Bushmills. Sandalwood.
- Palate
- Syrupy, sherryish. Nutty. Almondy.
- Finish
- Hard liquorice. Late rootiness.
- Comment
- Very rich and sweet, but still a Bushmills.
Dave Broom
87- Nose
- Rich, soft and deep with sherry well in evidence. Turned earth, charred wood, raspberry, currant, hedgerow fruits. Almost jammy with a crisp cereal centre and some vanilla.
- Palate
- Big, soft and very smooth. A silky mouthful.
- Finish
- Starts juicily, then becomes dry and malty.
- Comment
- A less exuberant Black Bush: richer and more brooding.
