Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson Nose Fruity and flowery. Roses. Fragrant. Hint of smoke. Palate Mouth-filling, tongue coating, soothing, soft. Marshmallow. Slightly burnt toffee. Finish Fruity again. Raspberries, prunes, raisins? Winey. Some balancing dryness. Comment Is the house character overwhelmed by the three woods (bourbon, sherry and port)? I'll give it the benefit of the doubt.

Jim Murray Nose A basket of fruits with apples and grape prominent here. Even some curious smokiness... Palate Seismic waves of spicy fruit with an earlier than usual surge of cocoa. Finish A slightly thinner, harder finale than the norm. Comment This whiskey benefits from warming in the hands. Opens like a flower as the temperature rises into something very beautiful, indeed.
