- Nose
- Almondy.
- Palate
- Sweet. Creamy. Buttery. Faint orange coming through.
- Finish
- Very late smokiness brings some balancing dryness.
- Comment
- Extraordinarily sweet-but an engaging curiosity. This pale, golden Dalmore, without the sherry, has an especially characteristic touch of amontillado.

- Nose
- Fresh and fruity. A briny edge that fits with the sweetest of malts. Invigorating.
- Palate
- A fanfare of sweet malt makes a brilliant arrival. Possible to detect deliciously burnt fudge, roast chestnuts and much more besides.
- Finish
- Amazingly long and dry. A more peppery version of what went before.
- Comment
- Unquestionably the finest Dalmore I have ever tasted bottled. A classic.
