Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson Nose Almondy. Palate Sweet. Creamy. Buttery. Faint orange coming through. Finish Very late smokiness brings some balancing dryness. Comment Extraordinarily sweet-but an engaging curiosity. This pale, golden Dalmore, without the sherry, has an especially characteristic touch of amontillado.

Jim Murray Nose Fresh and fruity. A briny edge that fits with the sweetest of malts. Invigorating. Palate A fanfare of sweet malt makes a brilliant arrival. Possible to detect deliciously burnt fudge, roast chestnuts and much more besides. Finish Amazingly long and dry. A more peppery version of what went before. Comment Unquestionably the finest Dalmore I have ever tasted bottled. A classic.
