85- Nose
- Assertively flowery. Fragrant and dry. Light body.
- Palate
- Flowery, soft, grassily sweet, moving to a very gentle dry finish.
- Finish
- Flowery, very lightly nutty, nougat-like.
- Comment
- All of the characteristic floweriness of Rosebank, but with some roundness.
Jim Murray
90- Nose
- Young and still immature with fresh cut grass and the faintest waxy honey giving a lift above the alcohol.
- Palate
- The tell-tale signs of youth: citrus zest and barley concentrate. Yet the middle is magnificent with acacia honey and oak and some salty, tangy slightly peaty notes.
- Finish
- Long, chocolatey, a hint of oranges and warm spices. The balance is pretty nearly perfect.
- Comment
- Despite the worrying nose, to taste this has a bit of everything, in just the right amounts. A real collector's item. And don't add water.
