- Nose
- Starfruit. Caramel sauce. Candied lemon peel.
- Palate
- Smooth. Dark chocolate souffle.
- Finish
- Chocolate Olivers. Slightly woody.
- Comment
- Glenglassaugh can be malty, and this one is. It stands up very well for it's age. In this bottling, with an apricot colour that suggests sherry, very much a dessert whisky.

- Nose
- Apples: flesh, skin, core and pips, in fact. Water gives straw, grass with herbs and nuts.
- Palate
- Medium bodied. Pear, toffee apple and herbs. Goes down the middle of the tongue rather than filling the mouth. Smoky oak late on.
- Finish
- Firm, dry, little short.
- Comment
- A spiky mix of apple and grass. Intriguing.
