Nose
Cidery. Oily. Earthy. Palate
Cooked apples. Over-ripe bananas. Finish
Cloves. Medicinal. Tight on the tongue. Comment
A welcome opportunity to taste a rare whisky, though it was never a classic, and in this instance is over the hill (or the Conval Hills?).
Dave Broom
Nose
Incredibly sweet and estery. Lemon, candy floss, Sugar Puffs, honey, mint, touch of smoke and cocoa. The oak emerges with water but ends up slightly flat with time. Palate
Lemon-fresh and sugary sweet all the way. Cinnamon. Just a dab of water is needed here. Finish
Light but intense. Comment
Just lacks some depth. All a bit nervy, but worth seeking out.
