Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson Nose Expressive, distinctive, appetising. Orange, apricot, anis. Palate Apricot jam on buttered toast. Finish Orange juice with a shot of Pernod. Comment I think I have discovered a breakfast whisky. They can call it Dallas Dhu. I'll dub it "Death in the Morning. "

Dave Broom Nose Big, creamy and sweet. Plenty of fruit, cocoa, butterscotch, honey and oak. Complex. Palate Medium weight but mouthfilling with a punchy, rich middle palate. Sweet, ripe toffee fruits: sultana cake, cinnamon, apple, butterscotch, spicy. Real drive. Finish Long, complex, sweet. Comment An elegant, sophisticated malt. On this evidence, a real loss to the industry.
