Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson

Nose
Spicy, lemony freshness (ginger?), becomes sweeter with ripe raspberries, a dusting of icing sugar and a garnish of fresh garden mint.
Palate
Firm yet light. Sweet, then burnt sugar. Brandy snap and zabaglione.
Finish
Caramel. Buttered toast. Lingering.
Comment
How nice this would be with one of those tasteful deserts that involves a ‘sugar nest’ and some fresh fruit.

Dave Broom

Nose
Very sweet with vanilla, barley sugar, candied fruits, linden, fried banana and citrus. With water, more oak.
Palate
The oak is quite firm but acts as a frame for some sweet fruit. Gentle and tongue-coating. Some bubblegum sweetness...
Finish
...then a bitter catch like rue.
Comment
A very decent dram with good balance and structure.
