Dave Broom Nose Round and plump with sweet syrupy aromas coming through. Chocolate and menthol. Red fruits, coconut cream. Millionaire’s shortbread. Has complexity. Palate Big impact. Immediate classic spiciness: allspice, ginger, then becomes gentler. Honeyed deep and liquorous in the centre. An extra lift. Finish Long and smooth. Comment Has an extra dimension. Recommended.

Dominic Roskrow Nose Tobacco, baked apple, pears, spice, a waft of smoke. Palate Spearmint, rye, peppery spice, green banana skin. Finish Bold and sharp, aniseed balls. Comment Impressive and bullish bourbon.
