- Nose
- Beeswax. Honey. Lemongrass. Peat.
- Palate
- Starts rich. Lemon. Blackcurrant. Menthol. Becoming dry and astringent.
- Finish
- Cedary. Woody. Abrupt.
- Comment
- This was never a great distillery but it made some perfectly pleasant whiskies and its loss is to be regretted. This bottling is past its best but obviously has rarity value.

- Nose
- Wine gums and salt: breezy and quite polished.
- Palate
- Hard as nails: another that shows Irish pot still characteristics – and how. The barley is hard enough to break your teeth on but brilliantly mouth-watering.
- Finish
- The oak is subdued by the barley concentrate, which continues to overwhelm the taste buds. Fantastic.
- Comment
- Is it too late to transport this dead distillery brick by brick to Ireland? The most Irish Scotch of all time! Astounding.
