Nose
Vanilla. Charcoal. Woody. Palate
Sweet, sugary, malty, chewy, creamy. Finish
Gingery and hot. Woody Comment
Just too woody for me, though a good splash of water brings out the other flavours.
Dave Broom
Nose
Dark amber. Quite dry and woody with hints of hickory, candied fruit and some lemony rye zestiness. Palate
Sweet smouldering hickory notes to start. Some burnt sugar/treacle mid-palate before a bite of rye freshens it up-fairly high wood. Finish
Ripe, full with some smoked tea. Wood. Comment
A little woody and young.
