Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson Nose Violets. Nutmeg. cigar smoke. Slightly woody. Palate Malty, toffeeish, juicy, lemony, spicy, minty. Finish Spicy, gingery, warming. Comment Despite this being older, it is less astringently woody than the similar five-year-old.

Dave Broom Nose Mahogany. Lovely, fragrant, but huge nose mixing old roses, molasses, vanilla, burnt orange, cinnamon and toffee apple. Palate Ripe and sweet with an almost immediate zap of rye which gives way to sweet fruit. Finish Long and rich with caramelised fruit and well integrated oak. Comment Who said bourbon can't age?
