Tasting Notes

Martine Nouet Nose Heady and ample sherry notes. Morello cherry. Loads of vanilla. Old furniture. Palate Incredibly sprightly for its age. Speaks out. Trifle, toasted coffee, hint of smoke. Finish Very spicy. Cinnamon, ginger, hot paprika. Comment Bossily buoyant. Loses in delicacy what it gains in flavour and texture. Miles away from the Lowlands.

Dave Broom Nose Big and sweet with oily qualities and soft sherry notes: moist sultana cake, cherry/red berries. Wood-derived aromas. Palate Huge and powerful with incense, walnut, chocolate and ripe rich fruity notes. Honeyed warmth. Finish Long big and nutty, with spice. Comment What a contrast!
