Tasting Notes

Martine Nouet Nose Lots of fruit. Pear drops. Summer fruit pudding. Apples cooked in the oven. Palate Quite smooth. Light-bodied. Lots of fruit again. Blackcurrant. Finish Crisp and dry. Warm all the way through. Comment Hard to guess at the high alcohol strength from the nose. Not the usual big, oily Ben Nevis character. A pleasant fruitiness keeps the sweet notes dominant.

Dave Broom Nose Slightly indistinct but in time a rich sweetness. Palate Incredibly sweet: demerara sugar and malt. Has good weight, vanilla, almond. Well-rounded and silky. Finish Nutty and long. Comment Builds from a slightly disappointing nose to a solid sweet palate.
